Bucknell Men's Cross Country Places Patriot League-Best 18 on Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -Bucknell men's cross country placed a total of 18 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, more than any other school, the league announced on Wednesday. The Bison were led by Charles Seigneur (Allison Park, Pa./Allison Park), who posted the team's highest grade-point average of 3.83 in the fall semester.
With 18 selections, Bucknell edged out Lehigh for first in the Patriot League in terms of total honorees. The Mountain Hawks had 15 selections, while Navy has 12 to round out the top three. The Patriot League recognized a total of 88 men's cross country student-athletes for their academic success during the fall semester, and four of them posted a 4.00 GPA or better.
While Seignuer claimed the team's highest GPA, also earning special recognition was senior D.J. Krystek (Pitcairn, Pa./Gateway Senior). Krystek, with a 3.46 GPA in accounting, earned his fourth selection to the Academic Honor Roll. He was one of five Patriot League runners to be named to the list all four years. Sophomore John Dugan (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) was also one of seven runners to be named to both the Academic Honor Roll and an All-League Team having posted a 3.58 GPA and finishing third at the Patriot League Championship last October.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must achieve a 3.2 grade-point average in the fall semester.
