First Bucknell Football Luncheon of 2012 Scheduled for Sept. 4

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The start of the Bucknell football season is just over two weeks away and that means the beginning of the weekly Bucknell Football Luncheon is also on the horizon. The popular gathering will once again take place on Mondays throughout the football season at the Lewisburg Hotel on Market Street in downtown Lewisburg. The first luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 4, due to Labor Day.
The buffet lunch (cost: $9) is served on the second floor of the Lewisburg Hotel. Bison third-year head coach Joe Susan will recap the previous week's game, preview the next opponent and take questions from fans in attendance. Select players will also make appearances at many of the luncheons with newly elected team captains Joseph Francis, Tyler Smith and Beau Traber expected to be in attendance at the first one.
Bucknell will open its season Sept. 8 at Marist. The Bison's first home game is Sept. 22 vs. Lafayette. That contest will air live on CBS Sports Network.
