Nine Bucknell Women's Water Polo Players Named to CWPA Scholar-Athlete Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Nine Bucknell women's water polo players were named to the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Scholar-Athlete Team, it was announced this week. Additionally, the Bison ranked 11th among CWPA teams with a 3.14 cumulative team grade-point average.
Student-athletes were recognized in three levels: 3.20 to 3.40 GPA (Excellent), 3.41 to 3.70 GPA (Superior) and 3.71 to 4.0 GPA (Outstanding). Bucknell had two players recognized in the Outstanding category, two landed on the Superior list and five more were cited with positions on the Excellent ledger.
All nine of the Bucknell players recognized received similar honors earlier this month from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches.
In the pool, Bucknell posted a 15-24 record this past spring. The Bison faced 14 ranked foes and finished in eighth place at the Eastern Championship.
