Bucknell Women's Golf Shoots 311 in Round 2 of Big South Championship

NINETY-SIX, S.C. -- Lauren Bernard posted a 75 to lead the Bucknell women's golf team to a round of 311 on day two of the Big South Championship, presented by Musco Sports Lighting. At 631 through 36 holes, the Bison are tied for seventh place alongside High Point with one round still to come on Wednesday.
Bernard was even par through 10 holes and made a total of three birdies in her round of 75 at the par-72 Patriot Club. Bridget Wilcox fired her second straight 77 on Tuesday, and her 36-hole total of 154 puts her in a tie for 14th place.
Minjoo Lee, who was named to the Big South All-Academic Team for the third year in a row on Monday night, also posted her second straight sub-80 round with a 78. Lee made a team-high four birdies in her round. Kasha Scott posted an 81 and Brittany Rendell an 82 for the Bison, who struggled with their putting throughout most of the round.
Campbell posted a 300 in the second round to maintain its team lead with a total of 594. Coastal Carolina had the best round of the day with a 297 and sits just one shot behind the Camels at 595.
Gardner-Webb is third at 611, followed by Winthrop (619), Radford (624), Charleston Southern (630), Bucknell (631), High Point (631) and Holy Cross (777). Presbyterian, a transitioning Division I program that is not yet eligible for the championship, has a 625 total.
Coastal Carolina's Brittany Henderson shot a 4-under-par 68 on Tuesday and at 1-under for the tournament has a two-shot lead over Campbell's Kaylin Yost.
The third and final round gets underway on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m.
