LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's water polo team is coming off its first-ever Southern Championships title and fans that would like to see the Bison in action as they vie for an NCAA berth at this weekend's Eastern Championship will have that opportunity. The program has announced a fan bus that will leave the Bucknell campus Sunday morning and head to Princeton, N.J., should Bucknell win its opening-round game Friday.
The fan bus will leave from the front entrance of the Kenneth Langone Athletics and Recreation Center Sunday at 9:30 a.m. if the top-seeded Bison defeat Harvard Friday. The bus will fill on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no charge to ride the fan bus and admission into Princeton's DeNunzio Pool will be covered as well.
If Bucknell (15-13) defeats Harvard (14-17) on Friday, the Bison will advance to the semifinals of the eight-team tournament. Sunday's championship game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. The third-place game is slated for 1 p.m.
For more information on the fan bus, please contact Bucknell assistant men's water polo coach Kyle Gorham at 570-577-1833 or kwg006@bucknell.edu.
