
Bucknell Men's Water Polo Opens North vs. South Invitational with 18-8 Win Over Harvard

ANNAPOLIS, Md. –Six Bison posted multi-goal games, led by four scores from senior co-captain Spencer Richley, as the Bucknell men's water polo team posted an 18-8 victory over Harvard Saturday afternoon to open the North vs. South Invitational. The Bison will play their second of four games in 24 hours this evening at 6 p.m. against Brown.
Bucknell (3-0) led 5-0 after the first quarter, and 9-3 at halftime, en route to its third consecutive win to start the season. The Bison have outscored their three opponents by a 55-24 margin.
Alex Nowlin tallied a team-high six points (3g, 3a), while Jack Else also posted three goals and an assist. Brian Barron, Mike Kimble and Julian Colina added two goals apiece, rounding out the list of Bucknell players with multi-goal outings.
The Bison were a solid 5-for-8 on six-on-five opportunities in the contest.
Trevor Reitz registered a solid outing despite not scoring a goal. He dished out two assists, tallied a team-high five steals and won three of four sprints.
Matt Napleton posted six saves in cage for the Bison, who are 3-0 for the first time in more than a decade.
Bucknell's evening game against Brown will feature head coach John McBride's first game against his former team. He was an assistant coach with the Bears for the last seven years.
