LEWISBURG, Pa. - For the second time this spring, Bucknell softball's schedule has fallen victim to impending weather. The Bison's doubleheader against Coppin State, originally set for Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., has been postponed due to rain.
Bucknell's two-game series opposite Drexel earlier this season was also called due to forecasted rain. That series will not be rescheduled.
Bucknell's next outing will be a four-game series at Colgate. The doubleheaders April 9-10 in Hamilton, N.Y., are both slated for a 12 p.m. start. The last time the two teams met, the Bison walked away with a Patriot League Championship title after sweeping the Raiders on the final day of play. The next home series for Bucknell will be April 13 against Saint Francis (Pa.).
Bucknell is 8-22 overall and 1-3 in the Patriot League this spring. The Bison were picked first in the league's preseason poll after winning the league tournament championship title and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history last year.
