Bucknell Women's Rowing's Lightweight Eight Finishes Third at Knecht Cup

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (Cooper River) – The Bucknell women's rowing lightweight eight wrapped up competition at the two-day Knecht Cup Sunday morning with a third-place finish in the six-boat finals. The Bison finished the race in 7 minutes, 5.06 seconds and were the only non-Wisconsin boat in the top four places.

Bucknell's lightweight eight won its heat on Saturday to advance to the finals.

The lightweight eight's appearance at the Knecht Cup was the first for a Bison boat since the varsity eight won the title in 2008.
