Bucknell Women's Golf Finishes with 315 at Kiawah Island Intercollegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- Led by 77s from Katie Jurenovich (Warren, Ohio/Howland) and Bridget Wilcox (Bernardsville, N.J./Taft School), the Bucknell women's golf team closed with a round of 315 on Tuesday at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Intercollegiate. The Bison compiled a 959 total for 54 holes and finished in 26th place in a difficult field.
Jurenovich backed up her second-round 74 with Tuesday's 77, and she finished in a tie for 46th place out of 168 players with a 231 total.
Elsewhere for Bucknell in the final round, Kasha Scott (Cherry Hills Village, Colo./Cherry Creek) posted an 80 for her best score of the week. Minjoo Lee (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) finished with an 81, and Lauren Bernard (Malvern, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) shot 85.
Miami (Fla.) closed with a 295 to win the team title by 11 strokes over Campbell. Florida International, Western Carolina and College of Charleston rounded out the top five.
Campbell's Sarah Bejgrowicz and Daytona State's Mitsuki Katahira were the low individuals, finishing at even-par 216 for the tournament.
Bucknell returns to action March 14-15 at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Primm, Nev.
