LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's water polo program will be making its only home appearance of the season next weekend when it hosts four key league games inside Kinney Natatorium. While all four contests will be important, the program is sponsoring a "White Out" for Saturday evening's outing against George Washington. Special 1,000th-game t-shirts will be given to the first 25 spectators, while an additional supply of the limited-edition white shirts will be for sale.
Fans are encouraged to wear white to the game against the Colonials, which will take place at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15. The 1,000th-game t-shirts, which feature a Bucknell water polo logo on the front and the Roman numeral "M" on the back, will be available for sale for $10.
Bucknell's five seniors - Nick Barnett, Beau Caillouette, Sam Fiske, Spencer Richley and Daniel Schwartz - will also be recognized prior to the George Washington contest during Senior Day ceremonies.
The Bison, who are 7-2 this year and ranked No. 19 in the nation this week, will also face Princeton (Oct. 14, 8 p.m.), Johns Hopkins (Oct. 15, 12 p.m.) and Navy (Oct. 16, 11:30 a.m.) next weekend.
Bucknell, which has nearly 580 wins in its 35 years as a varsity program, has just one game this weekend, and that is on the road at No. 13 Princeton Saturday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. It is the first meeting of the year between the Bison and Tigers.
