Patriot League Champions Bucknell Softball to Host Winter Clinics

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Just months after winning a Patriot League Championship and making their first NCAA Tournament appearance, Bucknell softball will host a trio of winter camps this November. Advanced pitching and hitting clinics will be held at Gerhard Fieldhouse on Nov. 6, while a beginner pitching clinic is set for Nov. 12.
The advanced pitching clinic is open to players in ninth through 12th grade and will be held from 12-2 p.m. A separate hitting clinic is scheduled for later the same day with sessions for fourth through eighth graders and students in ninth through 12th grade. The registration deadline for both clinics is Oct. 28
A beginner pitching clinic will be available for fourth- through eighth-grade players one week later. The deadline for registering is Nov. 1.
All three clinics will be conducted by Bucknell softball players and coaches. See registration forms for more information on each clinic.
The Bison finished the 2010 season with a 28-20-1 overall record, tying a program record for single-season wins. As the No. 3 seed, they then won their second-ever Patriot League Championships, earning an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Bucknell's 2011 season is set to get underway Feb. 18-20 at the Coastal Carolina Kickin' Chicken Classic.
