2010 Bud Ranck-Tom Gadd Memorial Kickoff Classic Award Winners

LEWISBURG, Pa. - This past Sunday and Monday former Bucknell football players young and old gathered for the 2010 Bud Ranck-Tom Gadd Memorial Kickoff Classic at the Bucknell Golf Club. Included in the weekend festivities was golf, an awards dinner and a lively auction.
Sunday afternoon's Ranck Flight kicked the weekend off, and despite a mid-afternoon thunderstorm that forced golfers inside, it was a successful day as 28 foursomes took to the course. The annual awards dinner and auction followed the afternoon of golf.
Monday morning saw more than 25 foursomes head back out on the course for the Gadd Flight as the fun-filled event wrapped up.
Among the highlights of the weekend featured both putting contest champions donating money from their winnings back to the Bison football program. JM Spangler, Sunday's winner, put some of his winnings back into the program, while Monday's champion, Josh Grill, did the same.
"I want to thank all the men and women who came back to make this a very special event," said Bucknell head football coach Joe Susan. "The rewarding thing is to be around some of the men who played when I coached here previously. It was great to spend time with them and to see them interact with their teammates. It brings them back to a time they all cherish. Some of the stories change, but the passion stays the same."
Next year's Bud Ranck-Tom Gadd Memorial Kickoff Classic will take place July 31-August 1, 2011.
