Bucknell Women's Tennis Earns Seven Selections to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell women's tennis placed seven student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Wednesday. Junior Lauren Rottkamp (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) and senior Carlin Calcaterra (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) led the Bison with 3.83 grade-point averages during the spring semester.
Rottkamp and Calcaterra were joined on the Academic Honor Roll by two of Bucknell's all-league selections in Lauren Lucido (Woodstock, Md./St. Paul's School for Girls) and Tania Varela (Quito, Ecuador/Alliance Academy). Both were named First Team All-Patriot League last month, while Varela was also selected the league's Player of the Year.
A total of 42 women's tennis student-athletes across the Patriot League were named to the Academic Honor Roll. Colgate and Holy Cross led the way with eight honorees apiece, followed by Bucknell's seven and Lafayette's six.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
