LEWISBURG, Pa. - Senior Olivia Knodt (Grosse Pointe, Mich./Grosse Pointe South), a member of the Bucknell women's rowing team, was named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-Mid-Atlantic Second Team, it was announced this week. It is her first career all-region honor from the CRCA and she was one of just three Patriot League rowers recognized on the All-Mid-Atlantic teams, along with Colgate's Lauren Schmetterling and Navy's Christina Lanouette.
With Knodt's honor, Bucknell has now had nine different student-athletes earn a total of 13 CRCA All-Region selections over the last four years.
Knodt was a member of the Bison varsity eight, which was named Patriot League Boat of the Year for the fifth straight year this spring as it won its race at the Patriot League Championships and helped Bucknell win its fifth consecutive team crown. Knodt also earned her first career All-Patriot League citation last month.
Bucknell still has one event remaining this year as the lightweight eight will compete at the IRA National Championship Regatta next week on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J. The Bison won the event in 2007, claiming the only national title in school history. Knodt, who is not a member of the lightweight eight, is not expected to compete.
