LEWISBURG, Pa. - After nearly one month and 15 total sessions, Bucknell football's spring practice season will come to a close Saturday evening with the spring game. The contest will take place at 6 p.m. inside Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. Admission is free.
The Bison roster will be divided into two teams, Orange and Blue, for the spring game. The two squads will play a controlled contest against each other. Among the specialized rules for the game are 12-minute quarters and the coaching staff will be split up between the two teams. Additionally, the offensive team will take possession at its own 30-yard line as there will be no kickoffs.
Halftime will be 12 minutes long and an overtime session will not be played if the score is tied at the end of regulation.
Bucknell, which is in the midst of its first spring practice under new head coach Joe Susan, will conduct its final two practice sessions leading up to the spring game on Thursday and Friday. Thursday's practice is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium, while Friday's workout will run from 6-8 p.m., also inside the Stadium.
