Field Set for Next Week's Men's Water Polo Eastern Championship at Kinney Natatorium

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium will serve as the host facility for next weekend's Collegiate Water Polo Association Eastern Championship, which will take place Nov. 19-21. The eight-team field was recently finalized and the Bison will take on Fordham in their first game at 4 p.m. on the opening day.
Bucknell (12-14) finished in second place at last weekend's Southern Championships. Fordham (16-14) was the third-place team at the Northern Championships. The winner of the opening-round contest between the Bison and Rams will face the winner of St. Francis (N.Y.)-Johns Hopkins in Saturday's (Nov. 20) semifinal. Sunday's (Nov. 21) championship game is slated for 2:30 p.m.
The winner of the Eastern Championship earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships, which will take place next month at the University of California. The Bison have won the Eastern Championship four times (1977, 1978, 1979, 1980).
Ticket prices for the event are $15 per day or $25 for the tournament (children 12 & under are free), while Bucknell faculty, staff and students are $5 per day and $12 for the tournament.
The CWPA will be providing live video broadcasts of all 12 games. Fans can watch the action for $10 a game or $25 for the entire 12-game tournament. Each game's broadcast will be archived.
