Bucknell to Celebrate College Colors Day on Sept. 4

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell will be participating in College Colors Day this Friday, Sept. 4, and Bison fans are asked to join thousands of other college sports fans and don their Orange & Blue gear to work, to class and around town as part of the fourth annual celebration dedicated to promoting the traditions and spirit that makes the college experience so wonderful.
Additionally, College Colors Day, which coincides with "back to school" and the kick-off of intercollegiate athletics, strives to advocate higher education through increased public awareness, and celebrates the achievements of colleges and universities, acknowledging their fundamental importance.
The Bucknell field hockey team will be competing in its 2009 home opener that evening. The Bison host Vermont at 7 p.m. at Graham Field.
To help get fans outfitted for College Colors Day, The Bookstore at Bucknell is having a special in-store sale on t-shirts from now through Friday. The Bookstore is located on the first floor of the Elaine Langone Center on campus.
