Fulmer, Kaehler Successful at USATF National Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Rising sophomore Stephanie Fulmer and 2007 Bucknell graduate Joshua Kaehler represented the Bison well at the USA Track and Field National Championships this past weekend at the University of Oregon's famed Hayward Field. Fulmer placed 10th in the 5,000-meter run, while Kaehler took ninth in the javelin.
Fulmer, who posted a qualifying time of 17 minutes, 43.87 seconds in the 5,000 at the Bison Outdoor Classic in April, ran an 18:21.61 on Saturday to claim 10th in the field of 14 finishers. Fulmer also earned a qualifying time in the 1,500, but did not compete in the event at the Junior National Championships.
Kaehler, who broke the Bucknell and Patriot League records in the javelin with a heave of 230 feet, 6 inches as a senior, recorded a distance of 226-0 to finish ninth on Thursday.
