Bucknell Men's Lacrosse Advances to PL Championship Game with 10-8 Win Over Army

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Joe Mele and Perry Menzies scored goals in the final three minutes to lead the Bucknell men's lacrosse team to a 10-8 victory over Army in the Patriot League Tournament semifinals at a sunny Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium Friday afternoon. The Bison advanced to the championship game for the second straight year.
Bucknell (9-6) scored five of the final six goals to overcome a 7-5 deficit late in the third quarter. The score was tied 8-8 entering the final minutes of play when Mele and Menzies came through with goals. Nick Sciubba registered eight saves for the Bison, while four different players had two goals. Jason Peyer led Army (6-9) with three goals in the contest, while goalie Tom Palesky recorded 11 saves.
