Bucknell Women's Rowing Opens Busy Weekend Against No. 4 Michigan

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Griggs Reservoir) – The Bucknell women's rowing team opened a busy weekend where it will face three ranked teams in a span of just over 24 hours against No. 4 Michigan on Saturday morning. The Bison lost all five events to the Wolverines on a picture-perfect weather day on the Griggs Reservoir.
In the varsity eight, the Bison timed in at just under seven minutes (6:59.97), but Michigan won the final of the five races in 6:43.18.
The Bucknell varsity four, which finished third to a pair of Michigan boats, had the smallest gap, as it was less than seven seconds behind the Wolverines' “B” boat.
The Bison will continue their weekend competition Saturday afternoon against No. 8 Ohio State, the lowest ranked squad they will compete against this weekend. Bucknell lists just outside of the top-20 rankings as it is second among teams in the “also receiving votes” category.
