Bucknell Track and Field To Host Bucknell Team Challenge Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa. - For the second consecutive weekend, Bucknell's men's and women's track and field program are hosting a track meet at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. The Bucknell Team Challenge kicks off Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m. with the women's hammer throw. This scored meet takes place a week after Bucknell's 74-team Bison Outdoor Classic, which took place last weekend and produced some of the best marks in the NCAA this year.
UMBC, Binghamton, Duquesne, Lock Haven, Mount St. Mary's and Saint Francis (Pa.) will be the teams competing with Bucknell.
Prior to the beginning of the track events, Bucknell will have its Senior Day Ceremony, honoring all senior Bison student-athletes: Andrea Asimoglou, Ashley Behre, Alyson Cobb, Jenny Dalzell, Katie Dempsey, Rebecca Eppleman, Nicole Falcaro, Stacey Haas, Kim Hassett, Megan Hathaway, Jessica Hibbert, Gillian Nordquist, Emily Selonick, Nicole Smith and Caroline Strunk for the women and Kerry Boyle, Joe Foley, Christopher Gabryluk, Jeremy Hollins, Jordan Kirby, John Kobilis, Kevin MacLeod, Clinton Orloski, Donald Sanner and Darren Traynor for the men.
At last year's meet, Bucknell placed second on the men's and women's sides, while garnering several IC4A and ECAC-qualifying marks.
Next up for both track teams will be the Red Flash Open on April 25, in Loretto, Pa., hosted by Saint Francis.
