Saturday's Bucknell-Holy Cross Baseball Doubleheader Washed Out

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Bucknell-Holy Cross baseball doubleheader scheduled for Saturday, April 11, at the Crusaders' Fitton Field has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The two teams will now begin their four-game series Sunday at 1 p.m., while Saturday's contests will be played Monday starting at 12 p.m.
This is just the third time this year the Bison have had their schedule interrupted by weather. They had games against VMI and La Salle cancelled in early March.
Bucknell will bring a 12-18 overall mark into the four-game series with Holy Cross. The Bison are 4-4 in Patriot League play and are tied with Lafayette for third place in the conference standings. The Crusaders are 12-17 overall and are atop the league standings with a 4-2 mark.
A wide stretch of rain storms plagued the Patriot League schedule Saturday as the Army-Navy doubleheader at West Point, N.Y., was also cancelled. The Lehigh-Lafayette doubleheader was delayed by one hour, but was expected to be played.
