LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bison women's tennis team will look to continue their winning ways this weekend with two matches scheduled in Pittsburgh. On Friday it will compete against Pittsburgh (0-0) at 6:30 p.m. and again against Duquesne (1-2) on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Bison women are riding on a two-match winning streak with an overall record of 2-1.
Two doubles teams consisting of junior Tania Varela (Quito, Ecuador/Alliance Academy) and sophomore Lauren Lucido (Woodstock, Md./St. Paul's School For Girls) as well as sophomore Dara Dwojewski (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) and senior Ashley Globerman (New City, N.Y./Clarkstown High School) will both be looking for their third victories in four matches.
Looking to lead in singles will be Varela and Lucido, who have each only lost once this spring season. Both carry two of the highest singles match winning percentages on the women's team.
The Bison were originally set to play at Robert Morris Sunday but that match is no longer being contested.
Bucknell will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 21, against Hofstra at West Branch Tennis Club in Williamsport, Pa.
