STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Katie Jurenovich (Warren, Ohio/Howland) and Minjoo Lee (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) both posted scores in the 70s, but no other Bison player managed better than 85 on Sunday and the Bucknell women's golf team remained in 14th place at the Nittany Lion Invitational. On a sunny but breezy October day in Central Pennsylvania, the Bison finished the tournament with a 329 team score.
Jurenovich posted a pair of 78s on Saturday, and her final-round 77 gave her a 54-hole total of 233. That was good for a tie for 13th place in the individual standings. Lee was one back at 234 (79-76-79) and finished in a tie for 16th place.
Leah Antkiewicz (Aliquippa, Pa./Quigley Catholic) was Bucknell's No. 3 scorer on Saturday after rounds of 84 and 81, and she finished up with an 88. Brittany Rendell (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) closed with an 85, and the team discarded an 89 from Kelsey Meybin (Midlothian, Va./Saint Gertrude).
At 975 for the tournament, Bucknell finished 15 shots ahead of 15th-place Bowling Green. Rollins won the event with a total of 909, while host Penn State finished second at 925. Emily Ransone of the Nittany Lions won the individual title with rounds of 71-74-73.
The Bison will be back in action on Oct. 12-13 at the Richmond Spider Invitational.
