LEWISBURG, Pa. - The first edition of Bison Magazine, a new feature-heavy video segment on Bison Vision, debuted today. Included in the first of three shows expected to be produced during the 2009-10 academic year are features on the success Bucknell has achieved in the Presidents' Cup race over the last nearly two decades, basketball and softball youth clinics and football senior Sam Nana-Sinkam.
The 10-minute Bison Magazine video piece is available to be viewed free of charge by clicking on the link at the top of this release, the front page of BucknellBison.com, or through the Bison Vision All-Access player.
The Presidents' Cup feature includes exclusive interviews with select Bison head coaches and administrators detailing Bucknell's success within the Patriot League, where it has won 15 of 19 all-sports trophies.
The Bison basketball and softball teams recently hosted clinics for area youths where the coaching staffs and players provided instruction for the aspiring athletes. Bison Magazine includes interviews with softball head coach Heather Rakosik and men's basketball head coach Dave Paulsen during their successful clinics.
The feature on Nana-Sinkam highlights his relationship with former teammate A.J. Pompliano, who recently served in Iraq. This year, Nana-Sinkam changed his uniform to number six − Pompliano's former jersey number − to honor his friend.
Bison Magazine is expected to air on Bison Vision three times this year - once in the fall, once in the winter and once in the spring. Highlight and interview packages, as well as live games, will continue to appear on Bison Vision on a regular basis.
