Megan Lindner Named Head Cheerleading Coach at Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell director of athletics and recreation John Hardt announced today the hiring of Megan Lindner as head cheerleading coach. Lindner served as a volunteer coach at Bucknell in 2007-08 and brings more than 10 years of coaching experience to the position.
Lindner was the cheerleading coach at Lewisburg Area High School and Lewisburg Middle School from 1998-2005, and for the last three years she was the head coach at nearby Mifflinburg Area High School. She elevated the quality of both programs, introducing new skills and stunts along with scheduling practices, fundraisers, camps and community events.
A graduate of the Central Pennsylvania Business School, Lindner has taken her teams to various camps and competitions. Her teaching skills include designing new routines, jump and motion techniques, stunting techniques and progressions and developing conditioning programs.
Lindner's Bison cheerleaders will be back in action for the football team's 2008 season opener against Duquesne on Sept. 6. at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
