LEWISBURG, Pa. - Former Bison baseball pitcher Matt Daley, who is currently playing for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in the Colorado Rockies' farm system, one step shy of the major leagues, has the chance to become an all-star this season. The 2004 Bucknell graduate is on the ballot to represent the Pacific Coast League against the top players from the International League in the Triple-A All-Star Game on July 16 in Louisville, Ky.
Fans will play a role in choosing the up-and-coming players to start in the Triple-A All-Star Game. The fan vote will count one-third (33%) of a player's total and will be added to the votes of media (33%) and Triple-A Field/General Managers (33%) to select the starting players. To vote for Daley, click here and proceed to the Pacific Coast League Ballot where Daley is listed in the Relief Pitcher section. Votes may be cast up to 25 times a day between now and June 27.
An early-season call-up from the double-A Tulsa Drillers, Daley has appeared in 26 games for the Sky Sox and is currently 1-1 with a 2.93 ERA in 27.2 innings on the mound with 12 walks, 27 strikeouts and an opponents' batting average of .227.
Dailey signed with the Colorado Rockies as a non-drafted free agent in June of 2004 and has worked his way up the minor league ranks over the past four seasons. Daley posted a 4.75 ERA, third best on the team, and threw in 30.1 innings, allowing 16 earned runs and striking out 21.

In 2006, Daley played with the class-A advanced Modesto Nuts and had a brief but successful three-game stint with the Tulsa Drillers, posting a 1.42 ERA in 6.1 innings with two strikeouts.
Last season, Daley was promoted to the Drillers and appeared in 43 games with 10 starts, going 2-6 with a 3.49 ERA. He totaled 22 walks and 84 strikeouts over 95.1 innings pitched.
