April 10, 2008
LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell will wrap up the most successful regular season in the history of the women's water polo program this weekend when it faces league opponents George Washington and Maryland as well as nationally ranked Michigan. All three games will be played on the road in Washington, D.C., and College Park, Md.
The Bison are still alive for the No. 1 seed in next weekend's Southern Championships, but need to have a solid performance this weekend. Bucknell and Princeton enter the weekend with matching 3-1 conference marks to top the standings.
If the Bison tie with another team, the first tiebreaker is head-to-head record. After that, it goes to a series of goal differential tiebreakers, including head-to-head and against other teams in the division, and finally to the total number of goals scored in division play.
