LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell baseball team's home weekend series with Niagara, slated for Friday, Mar. 9, and Saturday, Mar. 10, on Depew Field, has been cancelled due to the weather forecast and poor field conditions. At this time, no makeup dates have been scheduled for the three-game set against the Purple Eagles.
Next week, the Bison, who are 3-5 on the year, will head to Bradenton, Fla., for the team's annual spring break trip. Bucknell will match up against Eastern Kentucky twice during the week and play single games against Fairfield, Northern Iowa, Miami-Ohio and Ohio State.
The squad's Friday, Mar. 15, contest against the RedHawks of Miami-Ohio, is scheduled to be played at McKechnie Field, the spring training home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, at 2:30 p.m. All other games, with the exception of the night contest against Ohio State, will be played at the IMG Academy's Academy Park, while the Bison will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes at Manatee Community College on Saturday, Mar. 17, at 7 p.m.
