Bucknell Women's Golf Tied for Eighth at William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Pa. -- Amy Loughney (Macungie, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) shot an opening-round 77 to pace the Bucknell contingent to a team total of 328 at the William & Mary Invitational on Saturday. The Bison sit in a three-way tie for eighth place with Marshall and Virginia with 18 holes still to come on Sunday.
Also for Bucknell, Teri Schlang (Scottsdale, Ariz./Stratton Mountain School) shot 81, Deirdre Moran (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) shot 82, Kathryn Batchelor (Lawrenceville, Pa./Princeton Day School) had an 88 and Leah Antkiewicz (Aliquippa, Pa./Quigley Catholic) carded a 95.
Loughney is the lone Bison in the top 10. She sits in a tie for ninth place, five shots behind Western Michigan's Laura Bavaird.
West Michigan also leads the team standings after posting a 310 on Saturday. Columbia is a shot back at 311, followed by Xavier (314), Winthrop (315) and Boston College (317).
