Bucknell Women's Tennis Falls to Stony Brook, 5-2

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's tennis team its fourth straight match to Stony Brook on Saturday at the West Branch Tennis Club, in Williamsport, Pa. Junior Caitlin Baffa (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills High School East) posted wins in No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles. The Bison are now 1-6 on the season.
Baffa teamed with sophomore Camille Simonetti (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) to defeat Victoria Vovsha and Shaina Murugan, 8-4, in the No. 3 doubles spot. She also took down Murugan in the No. 6 singles spot, in a 9-7 proset.
After losing the first set, 3-6, freshman Carlin Calcaterra (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) came back to win sets two and three, with scores of 7-6(7-5), 10-5, respectively, against Claudia Sanua, in the No. 2 spot. Sophomore Tiffany Card (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Regional) fell to Brooke Flanigan, 6-0, 7-5, 10-6.
The Bucknell women's tennis team will be back in action on Saturday, Mar. 3, against Marist, at the West Branch Tennis Club, in Williamsport, Pa.
