The Bucknell women's cross country team finished fourth of 11 teams in the Lock Haven Invitational Saturday afternoon in Lock Haven, Pa. The Orange and Blue competed against La Salle, Penn State, Penn, West Virginia, Saint Francis (Pa.), Rutgers, Lock Haven, West Chester, and the Penn State club team.
Senior Leanna Nastase (Beaverdale, Pa./Forest Hills) finished fifth of 161 runners for the Bison with a time of 21:37.32. Senior Jenny Stevens (Laceyville, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) crossed the finish line 11th with a time of 22:01.05 while senior Erin Cranmer-Hart (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) ran a time of 22:12.74, which was good for 16th place.
Sophomore Gillian Nordquist (Clarkston, Mich/Clarkston) posted a time of 22:27.74, finishing 25th. A second later, freshman Molly Pritz (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) finished 27th with a time of 22:28.73.
"I thought we ran an average race," said Bison head coach Kevin Donner. "We were 16 points from winning the meet so that tells me that we have the potential to be a good team within the Mid-Atlantic region."
Bucknell will return to action at the Penn State-Altoona Invitational on Saturday Sept. 23, in Altoona, Pa., beginning at 10:30 a.m.
