Men's Track and Field Earns All-Patriot League Honors

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Despite the sixth-place finish at the 2006 Outdoor Patriot League Championships, the Bucknell men's track and field team collected seven All-Patriot League honors. Senior Dan Frake (Northport, N.Y./Northport) and junior Joshua Kaehler (Hanover, Pa./South Western) received first team honors, while the other five were named to the second team.
All-league status reflects performances at the 2006 championship meet, held May 5-6. All individual event winners receive first team honors, while all second place finishers earn second-team recognition.
Frake won the hammer, while Kaehler struck gold in the javelin.
Representing the Bison on the second team were senior Matt Corbetta (Port Chester, N.Y./Port Chester), juniors Matt Bonelli (Califon, N.J./Pingry School) and Eric Guja (Massapequa, N.Y./St. Anthony's) and freshman Kerry Boyle (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton) as part of the silver-medal winning 4x400 relay team. Sophomore Wallace Campbell (Montgomery, Ala./Montgomery Acad.) also took silver in the 10,000.
The Orange and Blue collected 62.50 total points, just 5.50 points behind American in fifth. Army won the event with 219.50 points, with Navy in second with 130 and Lehigh in third with 95.
