LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell women's water polo coach John Zeigler has announced the selection of Mandy Bynum (San Jose, Calif./Leland), Elizabeth Jensen (San Mateo, Calif./St. Ignatius Prep) and Mallory Sullivan (Tulare, Calif./Tulare Western) as team captains for the 2007 season. Jensen, who was recently a second-team all-conference selection, had a breakout junior campaign as she ranked second on the squad with 92, placing her third on Bucknell's single-season list. The left-hander netted a career-high 46 goals, 27 more than her previous best, and matched that figure with 46 assists, easily eclipsing her previous high of 34. Her assist total ranks her second on the single-season list. Jensen's point total this year helped her vault to seventh on the career points list with 179. She is second in career assists with 98. A valuable sprinter, Jensen won a team-best 42 of 68 sprints and registered 25 steals this spring.

Three captains will dot the roster in 2007, marking just the second time in the nine-year history of the program that will happen. Lindsay Chesterfield, Jamie Fulop and Katie Stahler were tri-captains in 2003.
Bucknell finished the 2006 season with a 23-9 record to equal the 2005 squad for the most wins in program history. The Bison also finished fourth at the Eastern Championship, marking their best-ever showing at the event.
