Bison Men's Track and Field Finishes Sixth at 2006 Outdoor Patriot League Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Bison men's track and field team turned in a sixth-place finish at the 2006 Outdoor Patriot League Championships, concluding on Saturday, at the Hart Center Track Complex in Worcester, Mass. Dan Frake (Northport, N.Y./Northport) won the hammer throw and set Bucknell's all-time second-best mark in the event.
Collecting points for Bucknell was Matt Corbetta (Port Chester, N.Y./Port Chester) in the 200-meter dash, clocking in a fifth-place time of 22.34 seconds. Kerry Boyle (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton) finished fourth in the 400, in 48.79.
The 4x400 relay team clocked in a time of 3:18.05, good enough for second place.
Andrew Corral (Bellport, N.Y./Bellport) took fifth in the 3000 steeplechase (9:32.99), while Ryan Robinson took sixth in the high jump, recording a leap of six feet, 6 1/4 inches. Tyler Hoffman picked up four points in the hammer by finishing fourth with a mark of 168-9.
Frake received his gold medal in the hammer with a heave of 194-9, while also taking fourth in the shot put, throwing for 52-2 3/4, good enough for the second-best mark in school history.
The Orange and Blue collected 62.50 points, for sixth place, with Army winning the event with 219.50 points, Navy in second with 130 and Lehigh in third, collecting 95.
