Josh Kaehler Takes Third in Javelin at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Three of Bucknell's top men's throwers, each of whom has already qualified for the NCAA Regionals next month, competed Saturday afternoon on the final day of the Penn Relays.
Junior Josh Kaehler (Hanover, Pa./South Western) was the top finisher, placing third in the collegiate section of the men's javelin. Kaehler's throw of 204 feet, 2 inches, trailed only Dan Gale of East Stroudsburg (209-5) and Chris Brandriff of VMI (206-9).
In the collegiate hammer throw, senior Dan Frake (Northport, N.Y./Northport) finished 10th with a mark of 184-0. A day earlier, Frake took 18th in the shot put.
Sophomore Tyler Hoffman (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) placed 24th in the hammer at 169-8.
Next week the Bison compete in the Patriot League Championships at Holy Cross.
