Christy Mathewson Represents Bucknell on Inaugural College Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's Christy Mathewson was named to the inaugural College Baseball Hall of Fame ballot, the College Baseball Foundation announced today. Mathewson, a member of the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame and the Bucknell Athletics Hall of Fame, is one of eight pre-1947 players on the 46-man ballot.

The ballot will be voted on by an eighty-member Hall of Fame Voting Committee, which will participate in two rounds of elimination votes. Out of the 12 (eight players, four coaches) pre-1947 candidates, two finalists will be named later this fall and will be inducted with the Hall of Fame Class of 2007.
