Action for Bison Track & Field Concludes at the Fred Hardy Invite

RICHMOND, Va. - The Bison track and field teams concluded action at the Fred Hardy Invite, early Saturday evening on the Fred Hardy Track in Richmond, Va. Junior javelin thrower Josh Kaehler (Hanover,Pa./South Western) recorded a personal record in the event and hit the IC4A Championship qualifying mark.
In the 400-meters, freshman Megan Hathaway (North Tonawanda, N.Y./Niagra Wheatfield) took fourth, with a time of 58.88 seconds, while junior Mariel Fink (Pennington, N.Y./Hun School of Princeton) finished the 800 in 2:19.52, for a fourth place finish.
Junior Marjorie Grap (Van Etten/Spencer-Van Etten) finished in third place in the discus, with a mark of 137 feet, 3 1/2 inches, while classmate Catherine Trentacoste (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) finished the 100 high hurdles in 15.29, good enough for fourth overall.
The women's 4x400 relay team finished in second placed with a time of 4:00.3, while the 4x100 team finished fourth (49.68).
Sophomore Matthew Johnson (Newburgh, N.Y./Marlboro Central) took third in the 100, with a personal best time of 11.28, while freshman Ryan Robinson (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) finished fourth in the high jump with a leap of 6-4 3/4.
The men's 4x400 relay team finished in 3:24.16, good enough for second overall.
Kaehler's mark of 201-1 1/2 placed him second overall and sixth in the Orange and Blue record books.
The Bison will return to the track on Saturday, April 1, at the Liberty Invitational, held in Lynchburg, Va.
