Charles Lee Named Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell men's basketball co-captain Charles Lee (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) was named the Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week on Monday after leading his team to a pair of come-from-behind road victories.
Lee averaged 16.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 4.0 steals in victories over Army (67-54) and Colgate (68-59). After the wins Bucknell is now 18-3 overall and 9-0 in the Patriot League.
Lee played a prominent role in the victories. Against Army, with Bucknell trailing 19-9 in the first half, Lee had five points, three steals and three assists in a 3-minute span to spark a game-tying 12-2 run. He either scored or assisted on all 12 points in the run. He finished the game with a season-high 19 points along with five rebounds, five assists and a career-high-tying six steals.
Against Colgate, Lee again filled the boxscore with 13 points, five rebounds, a career-high seven assists and a pair of steals. He had eight points and five assists in the second half alone, when Bucknell rallied from a 12-point deficit to win going away.
For the season, Lee is averaging 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.1 steals per game. He ranks third in the Patriot League in rebounding and steals, seventh in assists, ninth in field-goal percentage (.431) and 12th in scoring.
Lee is also approaching a pair of career milestones. He now has 967 points and 498 rebounds in his career. He is close to becoming only the 15th player in school history to amass 1,000 points and 500 rebounds.
Bucknell, which is 9-0 in Patriot League play for the first time ever and has equaled its best overall mark through 21 games, is home on Wednesday to play American at 7 p.m.
