LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell basketball fans now have the opportunity to purchase tickets to see the Bison men's and women's teams host Patriot League rival Navy on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 at Sojka Pavilion.
The Bucknell-Navy game is the Patriot League opener for both teams. With classes having not yet begun for the spring semester, a limited number of tickets are now available for this doubleheader featuring the Bucknell men's and women's teams. A single ticket will allow admission to both games and provides an excellent opportunity to see the Bison in action this season, particularly for those fans who are not season ticket holders.
The Bucknell-Navy women's game tips off at 4 p.m. on Jan. 6, with the men's contest to follow at 7 p.m.
Additional gameday festivities on Jan. 6 include the Bucknell Men's Basketball Alumni Game at 1:15 p.m. and the Dirk Sojka Slam Dunk with Bison Basketball event to benefit SUNCOM Industries. A silent auction featuring items from professional sports teams as well as local vendors will be conducted throughout the day as part of this special event. In addition, a halftime ceremony during the men's game will honor the1986-87 men's basketball team, the first in Bucknell history to earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament 20 years ago.
