PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Bucknell women's rowing team was scheduled to compete in its final event of the fall season, the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta, Saturday in Philadelphia, Pa., but the regatta was canceled due to high winds and significant rain.
The Head of the Schuylkill was slated to be the first chance for many of Bucknell's nearly 50 novice rowers to compete. Instead, the Bison are planning on holding an intrasquad race on the Susquehanna River Sunday afternoon at approximately 4 p.m. to conclude Parents' Weekend festivities.
With the fall campaign complete, Bucknell will turn its attention to preparing for its spring season. The Bison will have a winter training trip in early January and a spring training trip to Elberton, Ga., in mid-March. Additionally, Bucknell will hold its annual Erg Armageddon on Feb. 10. The spring competition season kicks off with the Murphy Cup on March 24.
