Jenna Henderson Named Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell women's volleyball sophomore Jenna Henderson (Elk Grove, Calif./Laguna Creek) was named Lewisburg Hotel Bison Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Henderson led Bucknell with 3.62 kills per game and hit .357 while also averaging 2.25 digs per game in a 1-1 week for the Bison to open Patriot League play.

In a 3-2 win over Navy on Saturday, Sept. 24, Henderson tallied a season-best 20 kills and hit .308 with 10 digs.

Against American on Friday, she hit .471 with just one error in 17 attempts and posted nine kills to lead the Bison. Henderson also added eight digs and one service ace in the match.

Bucknell next travels to Loretto, Pa., on Tuesday, Sept. 27, for a match against Saint Francis at 7 p.m. When the teams met earlier this season at the Stony Brook Invitational, the Bison came away with a 3-1 victory over the Red Flash.
