Bucknell Places Most in Patriot League on Women's Lacrosse Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's lacrosse team placed 18 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, it was announced by the league office Monday. The 18 Honor Roll members were the most by any of the league's women's lacrosse teams.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter.
Elsewhere around the league, Lafayette had 12 Honor Roll members, Lehigh eight, American seven, while Colgate, Holy Cross and Villanova had six each. Sixty-three members of the league's women's lacrosse teams were named to the Honor Roll.
Bucknell paced the Patriot League with 199 total student-athletes earning positions on the Honor Roll.
Earlier this spring the Bison women's lacrosse squad was cited for its academic excellence by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association for ranking third nationally with a terrific 3.36 combined grade-point average during the spring 2005 semester.
