
Bucknell Men's Tennis Falls to Colgate 6-1

HAMILTON, N.Y. - Freshman John Lashnits earned the only victory on Saturday as the Bison men's tennis team fell to Colgate, 6-1, in Patriot League action in Hamilton, N.Y. Bucknell drops to 5-11 on the season, 0-4 in Patriot League competition.
Lashnits defeated Colgate's Mickey Gallagher in a hard fought match at five singles. Lashnits won the first set 6-3, dropped the second 3-6, and won the match in a 10-4 super-tiebreaker. Senior Joe Menezes fell just short of getting a win, taking Marshall Wheeler to three sets, eventually losing, 3-6, 6-2, 4-6, at six singles.
Patriot League play rolls on as the Bison will have a short layoff before taking on Lafayette tomorrow afternoon. The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. on the Bucknell Tennis Courts.
