
Bucknell Men's Tennis Falls to Delaware 4-3 in Final Match of the Year

NEWARK, Del. - The Bison men's tennis team finished off the 2005 spring season on Sunday, falling to Delaware 4-3, in Newark, Del. The men closed out the season at 9-14 overall, as seniors Nick Denefrio, Gerald DiChiara and Joe Menezes played their finals match in a Bison uniform.
Freshmen John Lashnits and Ben Young notched the only Bison doubles win, taking out Sammy Carl and Philip Wayne at three doubles, 9-7.
In singles play, Denefrio earned the win at one singles, besting John Tully, 6-4, 7-5. Ira Reibeisen was the winner at two singles, defeating Adam Liebman, 6-3, 6-3. Lashnits earned the third singles point, upending Robert Wirth at five singles, 6-3, 6-4.
Asher Salam lost a tough match at three singles, falling to Josh Ditman, 6-7, 6-4, 15-13. Joe Menezes dropped the four singles match to Jesse Carl, 6-2, 6-3. DiChiara also suffered a defeating, losing 6-4, 6-4, to Jason Hanschmann at six singles.
