LEWISBURG, Pa. - Nada Curcic won her tenth straight match at one singles on Saturday, but the Bison women's tennis team dropped the match to Army, 6-1, in Patriot League action at Gerhard Fieldhouse. Curcic and partner Veronica Brown were also victorious at one doubles, also their tenth-consecutive win on the season.
Curcic and Brown won their match over Army's Marissa Limsiaco and Amy Morgenstern, 8-5. The Bison just missed picking up the doubles point as Chelsea Mills and Rheanna Gaskin fell to Pam Chavez and Amanda Paluch in a tight 8-6 decision at three doubles.
Curcic upended Limsiaco at one singles, 4-6, 6-0, 6-1, for the only Bison singles win of the day. Daniella Shtemberg, Brown and Tanya Sichko played tough on the second through fourth courts, each narrowly missing a win after taking their respective matches to three sets.
