
Bucknell Falls to Binghamton 6-1 in Non-League Men's Tennis Action

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Bison men's tennis team fell to 8-13 on the year on Tuesday as they fell to Binghamton 6-1, in Binghamton, N.Y. Gerald DiChiara was the only Bison able to manage a victory, winning his match at six singles.
DiChiara accounted for the lone Bison point, defeating Binghamton's Krishna Vallabhaneni at six singles, 6-3, 6-4. The Bearcats dominated the Bison throughout the match, winning each singles match in straight sets and allowing a total of four points in the three doubles contests.
Asher Salam took a tough loss at three singles, forcing Alex Dobrin to a tie-break situation in the first set before dropping the set 7-6 (5). Salam also fought hard in the second frame, losing by a slim 6-4 margin.
The Bison will take on local foe Bloomsburg, tomorrow after noon on the Bison tennis courts. The match, which is the final home contest of the season, is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
