Bison Men's Cross Country Receives Academic Recognition

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's cross country team was named to the United States Cross Country Coaches Association's All-Academic Cross Country Team for its noteworthy performance in the classroom during the 2004 fall semester. The Bison carried a team GPA of 3.24 through the fall semester, the 20th-best GPA of any team in the nation.
Southern Utah University recorded the highest GPA this fall with a 3.58. The University of Miami followed in second with 3.50. Bucknell is the highest Patriot League team one the list with Lehigh and Colgate also making appearances. Last month, 11 Bison were recognized by the Patriot League for high academic standards. The Bison were second to only American, with 12 honorees.
