LEWISBURG, Pa. - Tickets for the Patriot League Men's Basketball Championship Game between Bucknell and Holy Cross will go on sale Monday morning at 11 a.m. at the Weis Center Box Office on campus. By virtue of their 53-35 win over American on Sunday, the Bison will play Holy Cross at the Hart Center in Worcester, Mass., this Friday, March 11 at 4:30 p.m.
For additional ticketing information, call the box office at 570-577-1000.
Arrangements are also being made for a fan bus traveling to Holy Cross on Friday morning. To reserve a spot, contact Todd Newcomb at 570-577-1771.
Bucknell will be playing in the Patriot League championship game for the fifth time, and first since 1999, when it lost 67-63 at Lafayette. Bucknell and Holy Cross also met in the final in 1993, with the Crusaders prevailing 98-73 in Davis Gym.
Sunday's victory boosted the Bison's overall record to 21-9, marking their fifth-highest victory total in school history. In two Patriot League Tournament games, they held Lafayette and American to a total of only 69 points.
Bucknell and Holy Cross split two regular-season meetings, with the home team winning both. The Bison prevailed 59-43 in Lewisburg on Jan. 8, but the Crusaders (24-5) have won 16 in a row since then, including a 69-54 win over Bucknell in Worcester on Feb. 23.
The championship game will be televised live on ESPN2 at 4:30 p.m.
