Bison Nada Curcic Becomes All-Time Combined Wins Leader

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bison tennis player Nada Curcic (Belgrade, Serbia/3rd Belgrade) recently took over first place on the all-time combined wins list. The senior added two more wins last weekend against Patriot League foe American. Over her career, Curcic has tallied 136 total wins, 70 singles wins and 66 doubles victories.
Curcic has been playing stellar tennis all season, sporting an 9-1 singles record, including an eight-match win streak. Curcic and doubles partner Veronica Brown have also been a force this spring, also boasting a 9-1 record at one doubles. Curcic is also the all-time leader in doubles victories and is just eight wins shy of the top singles mark.
Curcic passed teammate and fellow senior Tanya Sichko for the all-time wins lead. Sichko has also had an impressive Bison career with a 134-36 overall record. Sichko is the current leader in career singles wins with 78.
The Bison women, currently sporting an impressive 9-1 overall record, 1-0 in the Patriot League, will take on Villanova in Villanova, Pa. on Thursday, beginning at 3 p.m. The squad will be in PL action this weekend when they face Army on Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Bison Tennis Courts.
